The project is designed as a multifunctional environment where a craftsperson can create, display, and sell their handmade items while also residing on-site. In addition to supporting individual production, the space accommodates public craft workshops, conferences, and exhibitions, allowing the community to engage with the creative process. This combination of private and public functions establishes a dynamic, continuously active craft hub.
CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

The main design line evolves into a 3D experience created by continuous walls throughout the floors.

The interior includes exhibition, conference, workshop, display, and retail zones arranged around soft, continuous surfaces. These spaces support the craftsperson’s work while offering visitors an immersive, nature-inspired experience. The project serves as a shelter that provides a brief escape from urban life. The design enhances a cave-like experience to strengthen the shelter concept.
The mushroom was abstracted as a central motif because it represents small-scale shelter and protection for animals in nature, aligning with the project’s intent. Circular shelving echoes the mushroom’s body, while the organically shaped ceiling suggests its cap, allowing the concept to flow throughout the space.
