This project involved designing an urban residence for a Turkish rock singer. An interview conducted for the project revealed that she did not want to live in an ordinary house and instead envisioned a whimsical environment.

In response, the design adopts a surreal, DreamCore concept, creating a harmonious living space that reflects her imaginative spirit and offers a sanctuary from the ordinary.

CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

The main design line evolves into a 3D experience created by continuous walls throughout the floors.

The concept was developed by studying the cover design of the album she described as ‘the album that defines me the most.’ A primary line derived from cover design analysis was then mirrored and manipulated to generate the guiding lines of the design. The primary line was manipulated to create organic guiding lines that introduce transitional, fluid, and layered geometries throughout the house.

Colors and materials were chosen according to the artist’s descriptions to reflect her character and the design’s themes. The ground floor features vibrant tones as a showcase of her identity, while the first floor and basement use softer variations to create a more relaxed environment.
